The skinny Philadelphia rapper who became the Prince of Bel Air, eventually ascendeding to become king of the Hollywood Box Office, now has his sights set on Ancient Egypt.
According to Variety, Will Smith, a two-time Oscar nominee, will play Taharga, an Egyptian Pharoh who battled Assyrian invaders. The Columbia pictures drama will be written by Randall Wallace (”Braveheart”) and will be produced by Smith’s Overbrook production company.
The yet unnamed project will be Smith’s first real period drama set in a different century. It’s all good as long as I don’t see Will with blue and white paint on his face.
As usual I’ll keep you guys updated with trailers and photo’s as soon as they’re available.
