After seeing Obsessed I will admit that I prejudged Beyonce’s acting in this film. The singer Diva flipped the script and turned into a big screen starlet. I assumed she would hold back in her love scenes with Idris Elba due to her real life relationship with Jay-Z yet Beyonce stepped up her game in the role Mrs.Sharon Charles. I was definitely in the theater clapping and shouting at the screen when she protected her family and home by beating down the Obsessed Lisa Sheriden, played by Ali Carter. Obsessed is “The Hand the Rocks the Cradle” of 2009.

This Sony Screen Gems film had an opening weekend of an astonishing $28.5 million. Obsessed scored the second best opening ever for a Screen Gems title after "The Exorcism of Emily Rose," which debuted to $30.1 million in September 2005.

Don’t wait for the DVD, ignore what the critics have to say and go check out Obsessed in theaters now.

I enjoyed the movie also. Not because it was a Beyonce movie, so to speak, she wasn't even the Star. I believe that the actors were well sought and perfect for this movie. Especially Charles' co-worker who wanted nothing more than some booty. I love every minute of it.

By far, this is Beyonce's best and most realistic role yet. The movie was a definite hit. I wish Beyonce had put those stilleto's to use during that fight scene lol.
