Remember Eddie Murphy's golden years as character Axel Foley in the 'Beverly Hills Cop' movies? Well the now 47 year old actor has approached Paramount pictures and pitched the idea of a part 4. Paramount was all for the idea despite the fact that Beverly Hills Cop 3 bombed in theaters. BHC3 was released on 25 May 1994 and grossed a disappointing US$44 million in the United States, but over $75 million in the foreign box office.
Whereas part 1 & 2 of the film grossed a combined estimated total of $534 million.
Rush Hour director Brett Ratner is in negotiation to direct the film.
