Don Cheadle is easily one of the coolest brothers making movies right now. When I watch him, no matter what role he’s playing, not matter what situation the film has him in, he just seems to be in control. If you’re an admirer of successful people as I am… you’ve probably found yourself asking "what is it… why do I like watching this dude?"
It didn’t take me long to figure it out. Cheadle has a quite swagger about him, a sort of humble confidence; if there is such a thing. That confidence makes any role he plays very believable, and later this month we’ll get the chance to see it in action again.
Cheadle, winner of the 2007 BET Humanitarian Award will appear as former U.S. Special Operations officer, Samir Horn in ‘Traitor’ (Overture Films).
Cheadle is well known for his roles in politically or socially relevant films like ‘Hotel Rwanda’, ‘Darfur Now’ (documentary) and ‘Crash’. His latest film, ‘Traitor’ opens on August 27th and add another to the list, when it puts on display: the story of an American anti-terrorist agent in deep cover, infiltrating international Islamic terrorist organizations.
After seeing the trailer and the stills from the flick, I’m sure Cheadle will deliver the customary swag once again.
Movie Description
When straight arrow FBI agent Roy Clayton heads up the investigation into a dangerous international conspiracy, all clues seem to lead back to former U.S. Special Operations officer, Samir Horn (Don Cheadle). A mysterious figure with a web of connections to terrorist organizations, Horn has a knack for emerging on the scene just as a major operation goes down. The inter-agency task force looking into the case meets with Carter, a veteran CIA contractor who seemingly has his own agenda and Max Archer, a fellow FBI agent. The task force links Horn to a prison break in Yemen, a bombing in Nice and a raid in London, but a tangle of contradictory evidence emerges, forcing Clayton to question whether his quarry is a disaffected former military operative -- or something far more complicated. Obsessed with discovering the truth, Clayton tracks Horn across the globe as the elusive ex-soldier burrows deeper and deeper into a world of shadows and intrigue.
