Tim Alexander’s “Diary of a Tired Black Man” has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures and is set for a February 2009 release.
The film, which has been called the black man’s “Waiting to Exhale”, is about a simple yet complex story of the relationship between the Black Man and Black Woman.
The story follows the tale of a successful black man who just wants to do right by a good black woman. Yet he continues to get shot down by all the black women he comes in contact with, from his wife and others he tried dating.
So his tries something new and dates out of his race, which of course brings new issues for him to deal with.
The great thing about the film is the directorial style of Tim Alexander. “Diary of a Tired Black Man” is half fictional and half factual. Throughout the film the director cuts to snippets of actual people discussing their views on the issue of the relationship between the black man & woman.
After creating such a great buzz via the internet with trailers from the film Magnolia Pictures jumped on board to assist Alexander reach a much larger audience.
